The Exquisite Ballroom Poem

    The Exquisite Ballroom

The exquisite ballroom?
I went to visit this ballroom one day.
It was exquisite like the heart of a wild rose.
Everything in the room was beautiful.

Once I walked into the ballroom everything glistened
The chandeliers, everything that was either
Silver shiny and or gold shiny.
The chandeliers were like big shiny diamonds.

Looking at the chandeliers it's like their
 singing to you when they dangle.
The beautiful scenery.
The chairs called my name to come sit.

I will never forget the day
I walked into that exquisite ballroom.
Oh what I experienced walking
into that ballroom.

Alliteration: Silver shiny.
Personification: The chairs called my name to come sit.
Simile: It was exquisite like the heart of a wild rose.; The chandeliers were like big shiny diamonds.

Concrete Poetry Sonnet 18

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st;
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
